20% of total electricity costs with a four year payback

The Background

A real estate company trialed Enertiv at a 272,980 square foot multifamily building. The building’s major mechanical systems consist of two steam boilers for heating and hot water, 12 water‐cooled packaged air conditioning (A/C) units, 24 exhaust fans, steam PTAC console units in residential units, a cooling tower and condenser water loop that serves the building’s A/C units and ground floor retail.

In addition to a number of operational improvements, such as shutting off fans for three hours every night, the retrofits identified by Enertiv reduced the building’s electricity cost by 20% with a 4‐year payback.
