Enertiv started in 2011, sparked by a simple realization: figuring out energy costs in buildings was too hard. Back then, info was scarce, limited to basic meters and clunky systems. This started our mission to bring clarity and efficiency to building operations.

We kicked things off by developing a sensor to make tracking energy data at the equipment level affordable. This lets us start pilot projects across different property types, laying the foundation for what Enertiv would become.

Working closely with our clients, we noticed that the issue of transparency extended far beyond energy. It touched every aspect of building operations, from preventive maintenance to meter readings, tenant billing to capital planning.

We realized that the data we became experts in collecting not only revealed inefficiencies but also helped prevent issues, optimize maintenance schedules, and make smarter capital decisions.
